Dr.Dre Beats Headphones consumer SCAM!

Dr. Dre beats headphones by the infamous scam company Monster (not monster energy) are very popular but is it really a good deal for $175-399? NO!
I personally can not stand they sell HDMI cables for televisions for $110 that they say produces a better image quality than the $5 ones. This just like their overpriced headphones is just a big scam.

I have personally heard the beats and the beats pro and they were honestly not bad but the professional audio company Sennheiser for the same price makes much better sounding headphones, granted they don't look as appealing to the young people the like the beats do but they have a much more high quality mature look.

More ranting about Monster. They sell a $300 "Clean power" thing for you're home theater system that supposedly provides a cleaner power signal? Give me a break lol!

Verdict? Don'dt buy anything from monster I cant stand that company!!!

Apple computer? A good value or overpriced?

So for $2500 you can get a brand new Macbook pro 17" laptop with a core i7 and 4gb of ram sound like a good deal what so ever? NO! Sure the customer service is great and they will replace the laptop for "free" if it breaks under warranty but this 2.5k laptop has the hardware specifications of a $600 Windows computer, yes only $600!

That means you are paying $1900 for the customer service warranty and the classic shiny glowing apple! Granted some people adore the os I have to admit it is a very clean OS and high quality laptop but the value is non existent!

For example for $950 my neighbor just purchased an Asus laptop with the same specs as the mac but 16gb of ram vs a mere 4 and an ssd drive! If you want the mac to come with the ssd expect to pay close to 3 grand.

For those of you who don't know SSD drives are new storage devices that will replace harddrives in the future as they are 5-20x faster.

Thanks for viewing!

The Future of Television!

Were all familiar with the plasma vs LED vs LCD war but in the next few years we should be seeing a new type of TV called OLED showing up on the market.

Whats the advantage of OLED (organic light emitting diode)? Well there is no backlight unlike LCD and LED TVs when a black image is shown on the screen the pixels can individually turn off producing a pure black image with no back light bleed. If you own or have seen a Samsung galaxy phone you may have noticed how nice the screen looks this is because is uses amoled technology with no backlight. Another advantage is that these screens have the ability to be flexible which will result in a whole wide range of uses of this new display type!

Thailand Flood drastically increases Harddrive price!

Prices were reaching an all time low for all sizes until a monsoon hit Thailand. Prices are hovering around 50-60 for a terabyte (1000GB) hard drive now the prices are closer to $140. And its not just Western Digital's hard-drives Segate and Samsung also have manufacturing facilities in Thailand that have been effected by the flood.

Best solution? Buy and SSD drive instead as the prices are almost the same now :)

Hopefully in a few months the prices go back down.

First 16 Core CPU

We have all heard of quad core and the newly released 6 and 8 core cpu's but AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) Is stepping it up and offering a 16 core cpu designed for server use. For a relatively cheap price of $600 compared to $3500 for intel's 8 core this cpu is going to be very popular amongst server users.

New Cannon Digital Camera Processor!

Featuring faster camera operation and unheard of noise reduction this new cpu is bring new life into cannon's line of cameras. Compared to the already great digic 4 this cpu creates 75% less noise and is 6X faster and on top of all that is capable of full 1080p video. Avaible in Cannons new S100 and SX 40 HS models this would be a great high end camera for anyone looking for an upgrade!

Nexus Prime or Iphone 4s?

Two top of the line phones with two very distinct interfaces. Those who love simplicity and ease of use should aim towards the Iphone. Those who love customization and tinkering around with settings should aim towards any android phone. The galaxy nexus also features android 4.0 which is not only fast its also beautiful on samsung's 4.6" Super amoled plus screen on the galaxy nexus. Which phone would you prefer?!

Battlefield 3 OR Modern Warfare 3?

First off I'm back its been awhile! Anyway recently released these two popular games strike massive controversy between gamers. Modern warfare 3 is more of a classic run and gun arena game that many people have come to love. Battlefield 3 is more of a War simulation game with many vehicles.

Which do you prefer! Please leave a comment!

Amd Bulldozer (8 core cpu) Delayed

Originally scheduled for Q2 2011 the release date of the upcoming bulldozer cpu has been moved to late august. Some bad news for AMD because Intel's enthusiast extreme series X79 is supposed to release Q4 with tri-gate transistor technology.

For system builders needing a new system now I would recommend purchasing an am3+ motherboard with a cheap athlon processor the act as the placeholder until the bulldozer releases.

UEFI to replace BIOS

The Bios, a small old chip that in every computer is the first line of code your computer processes when it powers on. It detects what system hardware is active/ available and then loads the operating system.

The problem with the BIOS chip is that it it old, outdated, and inefficient. The BIOS will soon be replaced by another technology called UEFI which is a very quick alternative that will completely eliminate slow boot times and common post errors on PC's.

All in all its just another technology just like the harddrive that has been used for many years and is being replaced with better, faster hardware.

MEGAPIXELS

Wow! My phone has an 8MP camera, its almost as good as your 10MP cannon camera! That statement is completely false but many people don't know its not the megapixels. Its the size and quality of the CMOS sensor. While a phone may have a 8MP camera it probably has1/20'th of an inch CMOS sensor. And a camera may have a 1/8 or 1/4" cmos and have the same resolution and you can guess which one is going to have the higher image quality. Another factor is the quality of the CMOS sensor thats why there is competition between camera brand of course.
