Dr.Dre Beats Headphones consumer SCAM!





Dr. Dre beats headphones by the infamous scam company Monster (not monster energy) are very popular but is it really a good deal for $175-399? NO!
I personally can not stand they sell HDMI cables for televisions for $110 that they say produces a better image quality than the $5 ones. This just like their overpriced headphones is just a big scam.


I have personally heard the beats and the beats pro and they were honestly not bad but the professional audio company Sennheiser for the same price makes much better sounding headphones, granted they don't look as appealing to the young people the like the beats do but they have a much more high quality mature look.


More ranting about Monster. They sell a $300 "Clean power" thing for you're home theater system that supposedly provides a cleaner power signal? Give me a break lol!

Verdict? Don'dt buy anything from monster I cant stand that company!!!

    I like my $50 plantronics wireless headset has really good over and under for the price and no cord to yank and tear up

    It helps a lot that they have Dr Dre's name on them, even if he didn't actually put it there. I think if you're going to pay that much for stuff, you really don't deserve to have the money in the first place.

    Yeah, I gave them a listen and they're good, but ridiculously over priced. Not to mention they're not that versatile, listening to electronic music or hip-hop was awesome, but turn on something without much of a bass and you're better off with $15 Sonys

    Value is a hard thing to quantify. Are Dooney and Bourke bags that much nicer than say a Fossil? I'd say not, but they sell for 2-10x's as much. You can charge as much as you want for a product, that doesn't mean people with buy them. Look at Apple and anyone else that positions themselves as a luxury brand. All that matters is that they convince some people to buy it, and that is how they stay in business.

    You can empirically measure sound frequency response and the quality of the drivers, whether or not they are "worth" $399 ultimately lies with the person that parts with their money. For you or me no? But someone is buying them.

    Wow this is Bullshit, while I do have a 100 dollar headphones (ATH AD700 baby!). I highly doubt that flimsy thing is worth anything near 175.

    However, the "cleaner" power source Monster mention is called Power Conditioner and they do exist but I don't think Monster provides a good one, if their other products are any indicator.

    I'm wearing a six-year-old hundred-dollar pair of Sennheisers as I type this that rape the shit out that Beats By Dre bullshit in quality. Totally agree with you. I am getting a pair of over the ears Bose headphones though, just because they are a little more comfortable and less cumbersome. Sennheiser is first-rate though.

    ATH-M50's are hands down, full stop, the best closed back headphones money can buy. They are not cheap at $160 best price, but you will have studio monitoring headphones, not a fashion statement. Compare that to the beats.... they are a steal. If you want the BEST sounding headphones, you must give up noise canceling, and sound blocking alltogether and get some open-back headphones.

    I saw these a couple of weeks ago while shoplifting...er, shopping in an SM mall near Manila.

    The first two things that caught my eye were as follows: 1. Fashion statement as compared with a quality product, and 2: Wayyyy over-priced.

    The hell of it is, kids will connect with the 'Dr. Dre' tag and gobble 'em up. It reminds me of when Air Jordan's hit the market. Yes, they were a good shoe, but they were more of a popular fashion statement than anything at their price.

    I am glad I saw this and that we agree.
