The Future of Television!

Were all familiar with the plasma vs LED vs LCD war but in the next few years we should be seeing a new type of TV called OLED showing up on the market.

Whats the advantage of OLED (organic light emitting diode)? Well there is no backlight unlike LCD and LED TVs when a black image is shown on the screen the pixels can individually turn off producing a pure black image with no back light bleed. If you own or have seen a Samsung galaxy phone you may have noticed how nice the screen looks this is because is uses amoled technology with no backlight. Another advantage is that these screens have the ability to be flexible which will result in a whole wide range of uses of this new display type!

  5. I'm a total technophobe so I guess this must be pretty exciting. I still use one of the old CRT TV's - and it isn't even wide screen! What is this HD of which you speak?

  11. The future is coming and I like where it's going.

And yes I've seen the Steam rip-off they call Origin. There's a reason why I refuse to buy BF3 now. The customer service stories are just... Ugh...
